Strain Equine Services, LLC was established June 1, 2007. Located about 15 minutes west of Kansas City.We are a full service equine ambulatory, haul-in and in-house care veterinary hospital.
Dr. Strain and Dr. Hellman are commited to the health and soundness of sport, race and pleasure horses.
Our doctors and staff are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art and cutting edge options in preventing, diagnosing, and treating injuries and illnesses in horses, drafts, ponies and donkeys alike. With our veterinarian's years of experience, we are available to take new cases as well as consulting with your regular veterinarian and farrier.
Serving Kansas and Missouri
Dr. Strain specializes in equine lameness and sports medicine. As well as having a strong background in the dental, reproductive and surgical aspects of equine veterinary medicine. We currently employ one registered veterinary technician
Our equine only hospital is located at 17041-158th Street, Bonner Springs, Kansas.
Our constantly growing facility currently has four (4) 12 x 12 stalls with rubber mats, a very spacious examination area, a set of stocks for all sizes of horses. Outside, we have a 60 foot round pen, a flat concrete run way to perform our lameness evaluations and four 12 x 24 foot outdoor paddocks. We have an 80 x 120 outdoor riding arena so that we may perform our "under-saddle" evaluations. We have recently added a breeding phantom to collect stallions. Currently, we are adding another building which will offer more stalls an examination/podietry area and a surgical suite.
