Dr. Danielle McLendon

I was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and moved to Lexington, KY when I was 7 years old. My family has always owned horses and trail riding became a hobby of mine at a very young age.  I attended Morehead State University in Morehead, KY where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology.  I later attended Eastern Kentucky University to complete my pre-requisite courses for veterinary school. After completing all undergraduate pre-requisites, I attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies.  During my clinical year at Iowa State  University I completed externships at well-established equine hospitals such as Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital and Equine Medical Center of Ocala.  I was presented with the opportunity of becoming an associate at Strain Equine Services soon after graduation. I have a special interest  in Equine Reproduction and Sports Medicine. When not working I enjoy working out, trail riding, visiting with friends, and spending time with my boyfriend, Ryan.  I have one dog, Calla, a pitbull X.
